Organic Agro Tourism Trek recently lunched by Himalayan Legend Trek in Kathmandu. This is a good trek for people who don’t have much time in Nepal. It is a 7-days long trek which starts in Kathmandu.
The Helambu trek begins from Sundarijal, an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. After about an hour’s walk, we enter Shivapuri National Park. The trek passes through thick mountain forests with great Himalayan views. You will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries.
The view of Melamchi Gaon across the Melamchi River looks stunning. It is one of the beautiful Sherpa village in the Helambu region. Trekkers on the Langtang trek descend to enter the Helambu region via this beutiful village. The trek to another beautiful village in the Helambu region – Sermathang – begins from Tarkeghyang.
Helambu trek is a short and sweet trek which would take you to the place of ancient Hyolmo people and their culture. The trek an easy one and is the best way to learn the natural and cultural side. The trail you will be covering falls under both Langtang and Helambu region.
