Organic Agro Tourism Trek was recently launched by Himalayan Legend Trek in Kathmandu keeping in mind the tourists who come to Nepal for short visits. It is a 7-day trek and it starts in Kathmandu, the capital city.

The Helambu trek begins from Sundarijal which is an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. After walking for about an hour, we enter Shivapuri National Park. The trek route passes through the thick mountain forests with the mesmerising view of the Himalayas. You will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries.

The view of Melamchi Gaon across the Melamchi River looks stunning. It is one of the most beautiful Sherpa villages in the Helambu region. Trekkers on the Langtang trek route descend to enter the Helambu region via this beautiful village. The trek to another beautiful village in the Helambu region, Sermathang, begins from Tarkeghyang.

Helambu trek is a short trek that takes you on an unforgettable journey to the ancient Hyolmo people and their culture. It is not a very challenging trek and is one of the best ways to learn about and experience the culture and be one with nature. The trail you will be covering falls under Langtang and Helambu region.
