The trekking is a gentle walk on mountain trail to explore the village, valleys, mountains and its interior to get the maximum enjoyment in minimum discomfort. Trekking means foot travel on mountain trail from just a day to month or more, in the same style as exploratory or mountaineering expeditions. It is not backpacking. In our trek just you need to carry what you might want during the day whilst walking – a binocular, a camera, a sweater, water bottle, important documents and other small items that you may need on the trail.
In a trek Sherpas serve as guides interpreters, cooks, and camp staffs. Porters, horses or yak carry food, fuel, camping equipment and personal belongings. All trekkers walk at their own pace with ‘lead’ and ‘sweep’ Sherpas providing support throughout the trekking trip. At night you stay in tents or occasionally local lodges and sleep in sleeping bags, all of which are carried with the trekking party. All this is managed by professionally trained Sherpa – Sirdar .
We have a variety of trekking styles to suit your requirements – group trek, family trek, private trek, educational trek, exploration trek, etc. The one world international adventure operates each trek in different styles.
1. Full-service Camping Trek
The original style of trekking in which we are specialized. The service is similar to expedition where sleeping, dining, toilet tents are set for every night camp. Three meals a day are cooked and served on the spot. Every need is attended to by Sherpa and whole operation is managed by Sirdar. The trek is possible to organize in any part of the country.
2. Full-Service Lodge Trek
Lodging and food will be provided in local tea-house supported by our experienced trekking team. The service is possible only in the popular trekking regions and trails.
3. Guide and porter Support
For more independent- minded trekkers, we set away with one of our experienced guides and a porter to carry equipment.
If you kindly let us know the duration, area, season and interest of trek as well as the number of participants we will make a tailor made itinerary one for you.
1. Easy
Easy trekking by Himalayan standards is generally between 900m and 2000m. There are always plenty of ‘ups and downs’ on well-maintained trails. Clients need to be regular walkers to get full enjoyment from their experience. It is possible however to design easier short three to four days trek with perhaps only two to four hours walking per day on request.
2. Moderate
It involves Easy to Moderate trekking between 900m and 3000m but possibly involving side trips to higher elevations.
3. Moderate to Strenuous:
Reasonably demanding trekking at altitudes up to 4,000m with side trips to higher elevations. Some treks included ill-defined mountain well away from villages.
3. Strenuous (Hard):
This type of trip are demanding nature requiring all participants to be fit and excellent health, as it involves moderate walk to physically challenging often in remote alpine areas and sometimes reaching altitudes in access of 5500m and are more suited to regular hill-walkers who are competent over difficult terrain. Here we also include all Tibet trips.
3. Alpine (Tough)
Extremely demanding treks sometimes in very remote areas on rough terrain, long walking days and use of main or fix ropes in few places. Participants should be in very good physical condition and have at least a basic knowledge of the use of crampons and ice axe will be advantage. Crossing of snow glaciers and high passes are common in this category of trek.
